Cryoneurolysis applies controlled cold to the nerves that transmit pain. The cold creates a nerve conduction block and stops pain signals from being transmitted. The effect is similar to that of a local anesthetic, but lasts much longer.

What we are asked most
Is cryoneurolysis safe?
It is generally considered safe when performed by specifically trained doctors; side effects can include temporary numbness, bruising or soreness.
How long does pain relief last?
It depends on the individual case and the condition treated. In many patients the relief can last several months. The treatment plan is reviewed and adjusted according to how you progress.
Is the procedure painful?
It is done under local anesthesia and is usually well tolerated. Most patients return to their usual activity the same day, with mild, short-lived discomfort.
Is treatment covered by insurance in Barcelona?
Coverage varies and is discussed at the consultation.
Do I need a referral from my doctor?
No. You can book an appointment directly. If you already have reports or imaging tests, email them to us before your visit or bring them to the consultation.
